View operation breakdown and details
You can view time and cost breakdown for operations. You can also view operation details for works orders.
What do you want to do?
Open: Works Orders > Processing > Enter Costs > Operation Times/Costs Breakdown.
- Select the works order.
- Select the operation.
The time and cost details for the operation are displayed.
Open: Works Orders > Records > One-Off > Amend Works Order.
- Select the works order.
- Select the Stages tab.
- Click
in the Description box to display the Stage Details information.
- Click the Tracking tab. The tracking Monitoring works orders through the list of operations needed to manufacture a part. information appears.
- Select the operation Reference and click Times/Costs to view additional information about times and costs entered against each cost category for the operation.

To continue, click OK.
Note: You can view the cost that you entered, and see if what you estimated was greater or less than the actual costs by looking at the Estimate/Actual tab for the works order.
- To close the Works Order Details window, click Close.
Open: Records > Batch > Amend Works Order.
- Select the works order.
- Click the Tracking tab. The tracking information appears.
- Select the operation Reference and click Times/Costs to view additional information about times and costs entered against each cost category for the operation.
- When you have finished viewing additional information, click Close.
- To close the Works Order Details window, click Close.

The Sage 200 Manufacturing module is now retired, from the Sage 200 Professional 2025 R2 release. We've retained the product help here for customers still using Manufacturing with older versions of Sage 200.
